Agents are being forced out from Khulna polling centres: Manju

Khulna, May 15 (Just News): Bangladesh Nationalist Party mayoral candidate Nazrul Islam Manju on Tuesday alleged that the ruling party men have driven out his polling agents from at least 20 centres of the ongoing Khulna City Corporation elections.

The contender came up with the allegation after casting his vote at Rahima Government Primary School polling centre around 8:45am.

Manju also alleged that his agents were not allowed to enter in the polling centres of ward no 22.

Besides, the ruling party men also beat one of his polling agents at Zila School centre, alleged Manju.

However, he said that he would wait until the end.

The balloting began at 8:00am and will continue till 4:00pm without any break.

A total of five mayoral candidates, 148 general councillor and 38 reserved-seat female councillor candidates are there in the election race.
