Hasina couldn’t bring single bucket of water from India: BNP

Dhaka, May 24 (Just News): Bangladesh Nationalist Party on Thursday said prime minister Sheikh Hasina could not bring a ‘single bucket’ of water from India in last eight years amid ‘so close’ friendship of her government with the country.

BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the remark at a news briefing at the party central office.

He said the prime minister would go to India on Friday to take part in inaugural function of Bangladesh Bhaban in Shantiniketan of West Bengal.

Rizvi said there is no agenda of Bangladesh people’s much awaited Teesta River water agreement in the visit of Sheikh Hasina.

Whereas the government had been announcing for last eight years that they were going to ink Teesta deal with India, he said.
