Magura, Sep 11 (Just News): Four farmers died in a lightning strike in Magura Sadar upazila today.
The deceased were identified as Rahmat Molla, 45, Monnu Molla, 25, Samin Molla, 30, and Akram Hossain, 30, said Abu Sufian, the upazila nirbahi officer (UNO).
The farmers were killed by lightning strike while they were working in a jute field at Rupdaho beel in Atharokhoda village, he added.
On information, police and fire service personnel took them to Magura Sadar Hospital where doctors declared them dead.
The farmers died before reaching the hospital, said Dr Amar Prasad of the hospital.
