Dhaka, Sep 17 (Just News): Dhaka city service transport owners on Monday strongly protested the proposal to bring all bus companies under six companies to ease disorder on roads.
Sheikh Mohammad Sabuj Uddin, owner of Mohona Paribahan Ltd, said, 'we have to implement the t late DNCC mayor Annisul Huq's proposal to bring all buses under six companies.'
He was addressing a special general meeting of Dhaka Road Transport Owners Association held at Mahanagar Natyamancha in the capital.
When Sabuj was speaking the other owners present at the meeting started to shout at him.
They shouted , ‘No! No!’ and claimed that they did not agree with his proposal of implementing Annisul Huq's proposal.
Sabuj was then compelled to say 'sorry' for his proposal and end his speech.
However, earlier in 2017 the transport owners had agreed to bring all companies under six companies as per an initiative taken by Annisul Huq.
Recently DSCC mayor Sayeed Khokon was given the same responsibility as per prime minister's direction.
