BNP rally at Suhrawardy Udyan starts

Dhaka, Sep 30 (Just News): Thousands of BNP supporters and activists have joined the party’s rally at Dhaka’s Suhrawardy Udyan.

The rally is being held to protest against “instabilities in the country,” and demand justice for party chief Begum Khaleda Zia, who is serving a five-year jail term in a corruption case.

Last week, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said they would unveil the party's course of action and strategy at the rally.

Police gave the BNP permission to hold the rally but slapped 22 terms and conditions on it. The BNP only has the permission to use the venue to hold their rally from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday.
