Dhaka, Nov 6 (Just News) : A man was killed in what police called a gunfight in Kushtia city early Tuesday.
The law enforcement claimed that the deceased Khorshed Alam alias Shamim, 38, was a former ameer of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB).
Police recovered two firearms and three round bullets from the spot, located in Shibganj, said Sanatan Chakraborty, additional superintendent of Bogra police.
The details about the 'gunfight' will be disclosed later in the day, he added.
Prothom Alo, however, could not verify the law enforcement’s version of the incident independently as no version of it was available immediately either from any witness or from any member of the victim’s family.
