Dhaka, Nov 24 (Just News): Two of the 12 injured workers in yesterday's steel mill accident in Sonarga upazila of Narayanganj, passed away at a Dhaka hospital this morning.
Both the deceased Masud Byapari, 30, of Bogura Sonatola area, and Noyon Hossain, 28, of Munshiganj Moddhomohakhali area were under treatment at the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
Md Abdul Khan, assistant sub-inspector, of Dhaka Medical Police Camp said Masud and Noyon were already 90% burnt when they were brought to the hospital in critical condition.
Two other workers are also in critical condition at the moment, he also adds.
The other injured are: Rupak, Sujan, Rana, Arif, Sajib, Salahuddin, Kabir, Zafar, Manik and Shakil. All of them are aged between 25 to 30 years and are under treatment at the burn unit of the hospital.
The laborers were working when an explosion allegedly originated from electric short circuit, that spilled the melted iron on the workers at Muntahar Steel Mills, leaving them injured.
