Dhaka, Dec 3 (Just News): The nomination papers of 141 BNP aspirants and three Awami League nominees were rejected by returning officers after scrutiny.
The election officials found 278 candidates of Awami League and 555 of BNP vailed for the December 30 parliamentary election, Election Commission sources said.
The ruling Awami League distributed nomination papers to 281 aspirants against 264 seats while BNP gave 696 nominations against 295 seats to contest the national polls.
The ROs scrutinised nomination papers of 3,065 candidates across the country yesterday, according to EC.
