Two killed as truck plunges into ditch in Ashulia

At least two people were killed and two others went missing as a truck plunged into in a roadside ditch in Ashulia Boro Bridge area near Bypail-Abdullahpur highway early Tuesday.

The identities of the deceased could not be known yet.

Police said the brick-laden truck plunged into a 40-feet deep ditch around 5:30am when its driver lost control over the wheel, leaving four people including the driver and helper missing.

Later, divers from Fire Service and Civil Defence station in Uttara recovered two bodies from the water body around 9:30am.
