Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sayeed Khokon today said no chemical warehouse will be allowed inside Dhaka.
His statement comes after a chemical warehouse sparked a devastating fire at Chawkbazar, Dhaka, that left 78 people dead.
‘We were conducting a drive to evict such factories and warehouses since Monday,’ Khokon told reporters at a press breifing.
‘It is sad that this happened during our drive,’ Mayor Khokon told reporters after visiting the burned site in Chawkbazar.
‘We will not let any such chemical warehouse to run their operation in Dhaka anymore,’ Khokon stated out clearly.
