Youths will protest injustice in society: Ducsu VP

Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) Vice-President (VP) Nurul Haque Nur said the youths of Bangladesh will protest all forms of injustice in society.

Nur stated this at the National Memorial in Savar after paying tribute to martyrs on Tuesday.

Nur said: “The four principles of our Constitution are: socialism, democracy, secularism, and nationalism. These are yet to be achieved.

“The youths of Bangladesh are more conscious now. It is this awareness that brings them out into the streets in protest. In 2018, the students came out onto the streets to protest against irregularities in transport sector.”

He said the students are carrying placards and protesting because they want justice.

“The youth and students were in the front lines during the 1952 Language Movement and the 1971 Liberation War,” he said.

Nur urged the general students to come together and stand against irregularities.

“I hope the youth will turn this country into the nation that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman dreamed of.”
