This year 82.80 per cent of the appearing students passed Secondary School Certificate examinations, says the result published today.
The pass rate, for eight education boards, was higher compared to last year’s 79.80 per cent. Number of GPA 5 achievers came down to 94,556.
Education Minister Dipu Moni announced the results this morning at International Mother Language Institute after the results were handed to her.
Usually the announcement comes from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, but this time she is abroad. Education Minister Moni announced the result instead.
This year, a total of 16,94,652 students sat for the SSC tests.
Last year, the pass rate in eight boards stood at 79.80 per cent. The number of GPA 5 achievers stood at 1,02,845.
