Lalmonirhat, Jan 6 (Just News): Members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) picked up a Bangladeshi citizen from Masterer Bari border area in Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat district early Saturday.
The detainee is Rezaul Karim, 33, son of a certain Abdul Jalil of Islampur area.
Acting commanding officer of BGB-61 battalion Rangpur major Syed Muniruzzaman said a patrol team of BSF-61 battalion of Coochbehar chased a group of cattle traders along the border around 12:30am and caught Rezaul.
The BSF members took the detainee to their camp, he said.
BGB sent a protest letter to BSF and urged to hold a flag meeting in the morning.
