A petrol pump in the city’s Kalyanpur area caught fire on Tuesday afternoon.
Atiqul Islam, duty officer at the control room of Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) Headquarters, said the fire broke out at Razia Petrol Pump around 5:25 pm.
On information, he said, three firefighting units rushed in and were trying to bring the fire under control.
Seven more firefighting units are also on the way to reach the spot, Atiqul Islam said.
It is still unclear what caused the fire, he said.
