A total of 824 people suffering from dengue fever were hospitalised across the country in 24 hours till Sunday morning, the government said on Sunday.
The Directorate General of Health Services said 483 of them were admitted to government hospitals while 200 were taken to private hospitals and clinics including two suffering from severe dengue. Apart from them, 141 dengue patients were hospitalised outside Dhaka city in various districts.
However, no death was reported during this period, according to the official record.
Currently, 2,921 dengue patients are being treated in hospitals across the country.
From January 1 to Sunday, there have been 11,654 confirmed dengue cases. Eight of them have died, according to the government.
