Dhaka Metropolitan Police on Tuesday banned unapproved flying of drones in the capital.
Metropolitan police commissioner Md Asaduzzaman Mia issued a release stating that recently some people or groups were found flying drones for recreation or grabbing photos or unknown reasons without approval of authorities concerned.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh deals with giving approval of any kind of flying and unapproved flying of drones is a punishable office, the release said.
‘Besides, unapproved flying of drones might cause hindrance to public security and create fear among the people,’ the release read.
