JSC, JDC exams begin Saturday

Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations-2019 will begin across the country on Saturday (Nov 2).

“As many as 26, 61,682 students from 29,262 educational institutions will appear in this year’s examinations. Of them, 12, 21,695 are male and 14, 39,987 are female,” said Education Minister Dipu Moni at the Secretariat on Tuesday (Oct 29).

The exams will be held at 2,982 exam centers.

A total of 8,651 examinees have decreased in the JSC and JDC examinations this year compared to the last year as 26,70,333 candidates took part in 2018.
Dipu Moni said, “Among the examinees 22,67,343 will appear in JSC exams and 4,02,990 in JDC.”

“A total of 454 students from nine overseas centres will appear in the JSC examinations,” added the minister.

The overseas centres are Jeddah, Riyadh, Medina, Tripoli, Doha, Saham, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
