DFP serves notice on Daily Sangram

The government's Department of Films and Publications (DFP) has served notice on the Daily Sangram asking the Bengali daily why its media enlistment will not be cancelled for publishing a report contrary to the spirit of the Liberation War.

The Jamaat-e-Islami mouthpiece has been asked to respond within three working days, a DFP official told BSS on Sunday (Dec 15).

A copy of the notice has been also forwarded to office of Dhaka district's Deputy Commissioner’s, added the official.

On Dec 13, the Daily Sangram published a report describing executed war criminal Abdul Quader Molla a martyr.
