Rashtrachinta, a civil rights platform campaigning for good governance, on Wednesday called on the government to immediately return unhurt their member Didarul Islam Bhuiyan who was picked up from his house in the capital’s Badda on Tuesday evening.

Rashtrachinta’s Dhaka unit member Hasnat Quaiyum in an online press conference also called on people to wage their protests for the release of their activist who was coordinating the relief distribution of the platform and training the volunteers.

Hasnat announced an online protest at 10:00am Thursday and if Didarul, also an IT professional, is not released than by then, they would hold a protest rally in front of the National Press Club at 11:00am.

Didarul’s family members in the press conference said that Didarul was picked by a dozen of plainclothes people introducing them as RAB-3 members just before iftar in the capital’s Badda area.
