The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has asked the authorities concerned to take necessary steps to open all school and college buildings in the country's coastal districts and adjacent areas as cyclone shelters.
The DSHE yesterday issued a circular in this regard, signed by its director general Prof Dr Syed Md Golam Faruk.
According to the circular, if any educational institution (school and college) is damaged by the possible storm, the concerned district education officers will make a list of the damages through the concerned upazila secondary education officers and send it to DSHE through email.
