Khaleda’s kidneys, liver not functioning properly: Mirza Alamgir

Bangladesh Nationalist Party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Monday said that the kidneys and liver of the party chairperson Khaleda Zia were not functioning properly.

‘Physicians think that Khaleda Zia is suffering from intermitted fever spell because her kidneys and liver were not working properly,’ Fakhrul said this while addressing a press conference at party chairperson’s Gulshan office.

Fakhrul also said that an excessive amount of fluid was found in her lungs because of heart-related complications.

‘Physicians are trying their best. We are thankful to them. But, they often suggest her advanced treatment in advanced medical premises which is not possible in the country,’ he said.

About the writ petition about Khaleda’s date of birth, Fakhrul said that it was an attempt to mislead the nation.

‘It is an attempt of diverting people’s eyes from major issues,’ he said.
