The High Court on November 26 that year granted bail to Prof Tajmeri in the case till submission of probe report.

On March 7 last year, Investigation Officer Md Shah Alam, also an inspector of Detective Branch (DB) of police, submitted a charge sheet against 76 people, including Prof Tajmeri, to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court of Dhaka.

Accepting the charge sheet, a Dhaka court issued an arrest warrant against Prof Tajmeri on May 7 the same year.

Police arrested her on January 13 this year.

Prof Tajmeri was involved with White Panel, pro-BNP teachers' association of Dhaka University.

She was also the former dean of science faculty, chairperson of Chemistry department and provost of Ruqayyah Hall.
