Jatiya Oikya Prokriya will not last long: Quader

Coxs Bazar, Sep 24 (Just News): Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said that the new political alliance Jatiya Oikya Prokriya will not last long.

Quader was speaking to journalists after inaugurating a hotel in Cox’s Bazar’s Kolatoli area on Monday morning.

He said: "Seeing Awami League’s road and rail meetings and the response of huge crowds, has frustrated BNP. So, they are saying off-track things which we are not bothering about.”

While answering a question, Quader said: “All our rallies have ended successfully and the key to this success has come from the guidance of Bangabandhu’s daughter and country’s leader Sheikh Hasina.”

Praising the prime minister, he said: “The country has achieved a lot under our leader and for which she has been praised all over the world.”

Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, said: “Our government has taken a massive initiative to develop the tourism industry in Cox’s Bazar. Marine drive road has been widened; also street lights will be soon set up along the roadsides.”

“A plan has been formulated to make the beach accessible by public transportation as well. We are also encouraging private developers to come forward to develop this sector.”

Earlier, the party’s delegation went to several public meetings in Chakaria, Eidgah of Cox’s Bazar, to present highlights of the government’s progress in developing the country.
