Dhaka, Oct 1 (Just News): Dr Kamal Hossain-led platform Jatiya Oikya Prokriya has called for a human chain next Sunday to press for its demands of a neutral election-time governing body.
The chain will be held near Jatiya Press Club and start on 4:00pm.
The call came at a press briefing arranged at its Dhanmondi office today, after the group’s deadline for an election-time body expired with the passing of September.
It warned, the government will have to shoulder the responsibility if chaos breaks out in the society without an acceptable polls-time governing body.
ABM Mostafa Amin, member secretary of the platform, addressed the press briefing.
Oikya Prokriya drew lot of discussions after it managed to accommodate several bigwig political parties including BNP and Badruddoza Chowdhury’s Bikalpa Dhara.
The platform made a big showdown in Dhaka on September 22.
