Dhaka, Oct 30 (Just News): Outgoing US Ambassador to Bangladesh Marcia Bernicat today said she is optimistic about the outcome of the dialogue to be held between ruling Awami League and newly formed Jatiya Oikyafront over the upcoming general elections.
All political parties must be allowed to hold peaceful rallies without any fare for ensuring a credible election in the country,” Bernicat said.
She was addressing reporters after emerging from a farewell meeting with Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali at the state guest house Padma in Dhaka in the afternoon.
It is possible to hold a free, fair and credible election in Bangladesh with the participation of all political parties, she further said.
“We are not extending support to any particular political party, rather, we want all political parties to take part in the elections,” she added.
