Ensure overall security on polls day

Dhaka, Dec 28 (Just News): Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda today called upon members of law enforcement agencies to ensure overall security so that people can cast their votes in a free, fair and festive atmosphere on the day of December 30 national election.

The CEC came up with the call while talking to reporters at Nirbachan Bhaban in Dhaka’s Agargaon area two days before beginning of the 11th parliamentary election.

“I expect that the law enforcers would ensure security so that the people cast vote freely to their desired candidates and return home safely,” Huda said.

He also drew attention of the law enforcement agencies to ensure security especially to the people of minority communities during the voting.

The law enforcers will have to be watchful so that no one can intercept any voter in choosing their own candidates through the ballots, the CEC said.
