No fair voting across the country : Dr Kamal

Dhaka, Dec 30 (Just News) : The country is witnessing a massively unfair election, Jatiya Oikya Front chief Dr Kamal Hossain has said.

"No fair voting is going on in any centres across the country," he said at a press conference held at the Gono Forum office in the Arambagh area of Dhaka at 1pm on Sunday.

"It is a matter of regret that we still have to discuss fairness in elections 47 years after the Liberation War," he said.

"I had expected that I would get good news from at least one place, but unfortunately I received no such news," Kamal Hossain, the Gano Forum president, said.

He said he was receiving phone calls every minute with the allegations of irregularities everywhere.

As per the constitution, people were the owners of the country where democracy would be the main principle, "But the colour of democracy which was manifested 47 years after the independence is unfortunate," he said.

The Dhaka 7 BNP candidate Mostofa Mohsin Montu, also present at the press conference, claimed their polling agents had been kicked out of 91 centres.

The Dhaka 6 Gono Forum candidate Subrata Chowdhury said: "Our centres have been taken under the opposition's control since 7am. None of the voters had been allowed inside."
