Khaleda Zia asks activists to be prepared for polls, movement

Dhaka, Dec 24 (Just News) : Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson Khaleda Zia on Sunday asked her party activists and people to be prepared for election alongside preparations for movement.

We do not want unrest. We are election-oriented party and want to assume office being elected by people’s vote. We not want to be elected without voters,’ she said at a freedom fighters conference organized by Jatiyatbadi Muktijoddha Dal at Mahanagar Natya Mancha in Dhaka with Ishtiaq Aziz Ulfat in the chair.

The BNP chief said no election under Sheikh Hasina’s government would be held neutrally and the election will have to be held under a neutral government.

She said the leaders of ruling party are much vocal on constitution these days but actually they had violated the constitution.

The former prime minister also accused the ruling government of staging a coup in judiciary. ‘They had sent the chief justice to leave forcibly and later forced him to resign,’ she said.
