Gonoforum General Secretary Mostafa Mohsin Montu today said that his party is still rigid on its decision of not sending their lawmakers to the 11th parliament.
Different mass media are publishing news that Jatiya Oikyafront leaders elected in the December 30 national election are willing to join the parliament, Montu said.
“It is untrue and baseless news. Gonoforum did not take any decision over the issue yet,” Montu, also convener of the Oikyafront, said in a press release issued this evening.
The Oikyafront was formed to ensure people’s voting rights, Montu said.
“Unity within the Oikyafront is still uninterrupted and intact. We did not take any decision to take part in the parliament yet,” Montu said.
In the press release, the Gonoforum leader also urged the authorities concerned not to publish any misleading news over the issue.
