Ruling party’s front Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) is demonstrating in rejection of the results of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (Ducsu) election.
They began protests this morning, after quota reform leader Nurul Haque Nur was elected vice president of Ducsu in the elections held yesterday.
They burned two tyres near the vice chancellor’s residence, chanting slogans that the election was “a farce” and demanding a re-election.
Chhatra League's demand for re-election comes after wave of protests yesterday by all major opposing panels who boycotted the election alleging irregularities.
