Dhaka, Jan 3 (Just News): The government on Wednesday made a reshuffle in the cabinet as a number of ministers and state ministers were given new assignments.
New face AKM Shajahan Kamal replaced Rashed Khan Menon as the civil aviation and tourism minister while the latter was made the minister for social welfare.
State minister for social welfare Nuruzzaman Ahmed, who had been acting as a minister, will now remain as a state minister.
Minister Anisul Islam Mahmud, who was in chage of the water resources ministry, and Anwar Hossain, who was forest and environment minister, have swapped their ministries, according to the reshuffling.
Another new face, Mustafa Jabbar, was made the posts, telecommunications and ICT minister while Kazi Keramat Ali was made state minister for the education ministry’s technical and madrasa education division.
Narayan Chandra Chanda, who was a state minister, was elevated to a full minister, being given the charge of fisheries and livestock ministry.
State minister for posts and telecommunications Tarana Halim has been made state minister for information.
