Countries need to investigate all disappearances: UN Spokesperson Dujarric

M Mushfiqul Fazal from New York, Nov 29 (Just News): Stéphane Dujarric, Spokesperson for the Secretary-General said that countries need to investigate all disappearances and to cooperate with the relevant human rights mechanisms.

He made this remark at briefing in reply to a question by Justnews Editor M Mushfiqul Fazal on forced disappearances in Bangladesh.

The regular noon briefing was held at UN headquarter in New York on Tuesday.

In briefing Mushfiqul asked about forced disappearances in Bangladesh, adding that, Prime Minister claimed that forced disappearances in the US and UK is much higher than Bangladesh, and US and UK, they’re involved in the forced disappearances. He also draws attention on recent missing of a Church father Williams Rosario, and missing of Dr. Mubashar Hassan, a private university teacher and researcher.

In reply Stéphane said, I don't have details of the case as you mention. I think, as a matter of principle, countries need to investigate all disappearances and to cooperate with the relevant human rights mechanisms.
