Bangladesh strike twice before tea

Bangladesh struck twice right before tea break to reduce West Indies to 253-7 after the end of the second session on the third day of Chattogram Test.

Nayeem Hasan struck in the penultimate over before tea breakto end the partnership between Jermaine Blackwood and Joshua Da Silva, who added 99 runs together and were trying to rebuild the innings for West Indies after seatbacks earlier in the day.

Joshua faintly edged one to the keeper Liton Das, after carefully playing 140 balls and scoring 42 runs.

In the last over before tea break, Mehidy Hasan dismissed Blackwood after he edged the ball to Liton while trying to glance a ball straying down the leg side.

The Caribbean side was dominating the post-lunch session as they added 64 runs without losing any wicket until the late double strike at the end which put Bangladesh again in the driving seat.

West Indies is still trailing by 177 runs and Rahkeem Cornwall, who is yet to open his tally, will be joined by Kemar Roach after the tea.
