The left-hander hit three sixes and 10 fours in his whirlwind knock as the hosts finished with a flurry of boundaries by taking 20 runs off the last over.

Conway got good support from Martin Guptill (35), Will Young (53) and Glenn Phillips (24*) as the hosts finished two short of the highest total at this venue.

Debutant Nasum Ahmed took two wickets for Bangladesh.

The reply from Bangladesh was a sorry one as they could only manage 144 for 8 in 20 overs.

Leg-spinner Ish Sodhi wreaked havoc with four wickets for 28 runs. Afif Hossain (45), Saif Uddin (34) and Nayeem Sheikh (27) were the highest scorers for Bangladesh.
