Khaled strikes twice, Proteas 314/8 at lunch on Day 2

Pacer Khaled Ahmed has taken two early wickets to give Bangladesh a bright start on the second day of the first Test match as the hosts South Africa are currently batting on 314 losing 8 wickets after 98.1 overs in the first innings at the Kingsmead, Durban on Friday.

Simon Harmer (8) and Lizaad Williams (6) are currently batting at the crease while Khaled is the most successful of the Bangladesh bowlers (20-1-80-3).

Earlier, South Africa ended the first day on 233/4 after bad light forced an early finish with 76.4 overs being bowled on Thursday.

Visitors won the toss but the South African openers Dean Elgar and Sarel Erwee saw off the opening session, which started late due to sight screen malfunction, ending with 95 runs.

Later Khaled Ahmed took the wicket of Dean Elgar (67) and Mehedi Miraj took the wicket of Sarel Erwee (41) which brought Tigers back in the game.

Miraz ran Keegan Petersen out with a direct throw for 19 while an Ebadot Hossain short ball got rid of debutant Ryan Rickelton for 21.
