Bangladesh to bat first in first ODI against Zimbabwe

Bangladesh will bat first in their first ODI of the three-match series against Zimbabwe as the hosts won the toss at the Harare Sports Club on Friday.

The visitors lost the T20 series prior to the ODI series by 2-1 with a rather inexperience side but Tigers will be upbeat to continue their outstanding record in their most favourite format.

Bangladesh, who have won seven out of nine bilateral ODI series against all the opponents since 2019, have won 19 consecutive ODIs against Zimbabwe and will be confident to win 20th under the captaincy of Tamim Iqbal.

Apart from Tamim, who has retired from T20, experienced Mushfiqur Rahim will feature in the ODI side.
