Bangladesh sent to bat by England, Tanvir debuts

Bangladesh will bat first after losing the toss in the third Twenty20 against England in a bid to seal a 3-0 sweep over the visitors at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday.

The Tigers already have the series in the bag, with victories in the first two matches.

The hosts have made two changes for the third and final game, dropping Afif Hossain and Nasum Ahmed in favour of Shamim Hossain and left-arm spinner Tanvir Islam.

This will be Tanvir’s debut match in international cricket. The skilled left-arm spinner is getting the reward for finishing as the joint highest wicket-taker in the latest season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

England, on the other hand, are playing for pride. The English side is going with an unchanged XI.

Bangladesh: Liton Das (wk), Rony Talukdar, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Towhid Hridoy, Shamim Hossain, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Shakib Al Hasan (c), Tanvir Islam, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Hasan Mahmud

England: Philip Salt, Dawid Malan, Jos Buttler (c & wk), Ben Duckett, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Chris Woakes, Chris Jordan, Adil Rashid, Rehan Ahmed, Jofra Archer
