Mominul, Imrul steer Tigers

Dhaka, Nov 22 (Just News) : Opener Soumya Sarkar was out in the innings’ third ball, but Mominul Haque and Imrul Kayes have saved the morning for Bangladesh on the first day of the first Test against West Indies on Thursday.

Choosing to bat first in Chittagong, the hosts were dealt that early blow by Kemar Roach as wicket-keeper Dowrich took a catch.

Mominul and Imrul have since then made things look easy, the Tigers now have 94 for 1 after 25 overs.

One-down Mominul is on 53, hitting seven fours, while Imrul is on 35.

The partnership did survive scares with the visitors dropping catches, but they now need to make the best out of this opportunity.
