Bangladesh are facing an injury scare ahead of the next match against the West Indies as wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim was hit on the right arm while batting at the nets at Somerset County Ground in Taunton Saturday.
Bangladesh team resumed practice Saturday morning after a two-day break at Somerset County Ground.
After warming up and undergoing light fielding drills, the players went to the net session beside the center wickets.
Opener Tamim Iqbal, all-rounder Shakib al Hasan and Mushfiq were the first three batsmen who went to the net session.
After a while, Mushfiq was hit on his right arm just below the elbow while facing a local net bowler.
Mushfiq looked in pain as he left the net session and was later given ice on his right arm.
According to a team source, his condition will be assessed Sunday ahead of the Windies game Monday.
The match between Bangladesh and the West Indies will start at 10:30am local time.
