Secretary Michael R. Pompeo met yesterday with King Abdullah II of Jordan and Foreign Minister al-Safadi in Amman.
During the meeting, Secretary Pompeo reaffirmed the United States’ steadfast support for Jordan.
Secretary Pompeo underscored the importance of the bilateral relationship between our two countries, thanked King Abdullah for his efforts to promote peace and stability in the Middle East, and sought his views on regional developments and other matters of mutual interest.
