President Trump thanked the Amir for his leadership in promoting unity in the Gulf region. The Amir briefed the President on the latest developments in the Gulf dispute, and both leaders reaffirmed the importance of a united Gulf Cooperation Council that is focused on countering regional threats.
The leaders also discussed areas in which the United States and Kuwait can increase cooperation on important security and economic issues to benefit both countries.
