Nine people have lost their lives in rain-related incidents in the last two days in Gujarat as the state experienced widespread heavy rainfall.

The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy showers in different districts today and light to moderate rain tomorrow and Monday, according to PTI.

Nine people have lost their lives in two days, reports Mint quoting State Emergency Operation Center (SEOC) under Gujarat State Disaster Management Authority.

Among them, four children were killed in Panchmahal district and two in Anand in incidents of wall collapse on Thursday, according to a release by SEOC.

Two men drowned in Jamnagar and Arvalli districts on Thursday, while a woman drowned in flood waters in Lathi taluka of Amreli district on Friday, the release added.
