Earlier on the day, another special flight of Biman carrying 246 French nationals of Bangladeshi origin left Dhaka for France at 12:15pm.

All the 246 people, including four infants, are permanent residents of France and were stranded in Bangladesh due to the lockdowns imposed to contain the spread of coronavirus.

An airport official said, in order to have a smooth journey and avoid any hassle, passengers of all flights are carrying reports to certify that they are Covid-19 negative and also following the health guidelines set forth by the government.
