COVID-19 claims 35 more, infects 1950 in Bangladesh

Bangladesh recorded an additional 35 deaths from COVID-19 and 1,950 infections in the past 24 hours on Saturday, counting the death toll to 4,447 and infections to 3,23,565.

Among the diseased, 25 were male and 10 were female patients.

A Directorate General of Health Services press release came up with the latest COVID-19 data.

Some 12,847 specimens were tested in the timeline at 93 labs across the country.

Bangladesh had tested a total of 16,17,958 specimens as of September 5.

A total of 1,661 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 2,17,852.

Bangladesh on March 8 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18.
