Another victim of Narayanganj mosque blast passed away on Tuesday evening taking the death toll from the incident to 28.
Abdul Hannan, 50, died at the Intensive Care Unit of Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery with 85 per cent burn, said Partha Sankar Pal, residential surgeon of the hospital.
Hannan was secretary of Baitus Salat Jame Masjid of Paschim Talla under Fatullah in Narayanganj.
Eight more victims are now undergoing treatments in ICU of the hospital.
The burn victims died while undergoing treatment at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, where 37 victims were brought after the explosions on Friday evening.
Samanta Lal Sen, coordinator of the Institute, said that all the victims have inhalation burns, which made the situation worse for them.
He said that most of the victims of explosion received 70 to 90 per cent burn injuries.
