4 killed in clashes in Cox’s Bazar Rohingya camp

At least four people have been killed in clashes between two groups of Rohingyas over establishing supremacy at the Lombasia camp in Kutupalong of Ukhiya, Cox's Bazar.

An Ansar member also sustained bullet injuries during the series of clashes on Tuesday.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately, said Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) of Cox's Bazar Md. Rafiqul Islam.

Rafiqul Islam said: "Clashes and gunfights were going on between two groups of Rohingya at the Lombasia camp for a few days. On Tuesday, three bullets hit dead bodies and another with beheaded head was recovered from the camp."

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh are currently deployed at the camp. Situation is currently under control, the police official added.

Earlier, three Rohingyas were killed during clashes on October 4-5.
