Nation lacks brave, patriot political leaders: Mirza Alamgir   

Bangladesh Nationalist Party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Monday said that the country was facing a political crisis.

Brave and patriot people are needed to overcome the crisis, Fakhrul said in a programme at the National Press Club marking the first death anniversary of former Dhaka City Corporation mayor Sadeque Hossain Khoka.

Fakhrul said Khoka was a leader of mass people, who always worked for their welfare.

‘He was a so popular and patriot leader that I found rarely in my life,’ Fakhrul said.

Fakhrul urged the BNP leaders to follow the ideals of Khoka.

Freedom fighter Khoka died of cancer on November 4, 2019, in New York.

Sadeque Hossain Khoka Smriti Parishad undertook an eight –day long programme to mark his death anniversary.

Central leaders of BNP and some other political parties attended the inaugural programme at the Abdus Salam Hall.

The BNP secretary general later opened a two-day photo exhibition was at the Press Club auditorium.
