All of Sylhet district has been undergoing a power outage after a fire broke out in a power station on Tuesday morning.
The fire has broken out in Kumargaon 150 MW Power Station of Sylhet Sadar upazila around 11.30am on Tuesday.
Four units of fire service have been working to douse the fire, said the Sylhet unit office Executive Engineer Fazlul Karim of Bangladesh Power Development Board around 12:30pm.
"Two transmitters have burnt down already after the gridline caught fire. It will take quite sometime to resume the power supply back to normal," he added.
