COVID-19 claims 17 more, infects 2,275 in Bangladesh

Bangladesh logged an additional 17 deaths and 2,275 infections from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours on Friday, counting the death toll to 6,322 and infections to 443,434.

Among the deceased, 11 were male and 6 female patients.

A Directorate General of Health Services release came up with the latest COVID-19 data.

Some 15,607 specimens were tested in the timeline at 117 labs across the country.

Bangladesh had tested a total of 26,22,559 specimens as of November 20.

A total of 1,709 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 358,431.

Bangladesh on March 8 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18.
