A bomb weighing 250-kilogram was found on Wednesday during an excavation work of the construction site of the third terminal of Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
The Inter Services Public Relations in a statement said that experts found the bomb most probably was dropped during the Liberation War in 1971.
The statement read that it was spotted during pilling works at the site at about 9:00am.
A bomb disposal unit of the Bangladesh Air Force Base Bangabandhu went to the spot and took it to the BAF Base Paharkanchanpur for disposal.
